Summary0009473: Project Type: Quantity Field is mandatory in Standard Phase / Standard Task windows
DescriptionThe quantity field in standard phase / standard task windows is mandatory and defaults to 1, regardless of whether you select a product or not, so theoretically you can set up a phase / task that manufactures 10 x nothing. You can also set it to zero when the product field is selected, so can manufacture 0 x something.
Steps To ReproduceProject and Service Management > Setup > Project Type
Select Standard Phase
Leave Product field blank.
Note that Quantity field defaults to 1.

Same scenario applies to Standard Task.
Proposed SolutionEither:

1) Activate the quantity field only when a Product is selected.

or

2) Default the quantity field to zero unless a product is selected.
